Mykonos and Paros - with our founder

Both my husband and I in Imara (dhow trousers & Indian ocean short sleeve shirt).

Mykonos:

Our first stop was Mykonos - A very commercial expensive spot, but nice to spend one night to feel that holiday buzz. We stayed in an Airbnb in Ornos, and rented a car / ATVs to get around. We spent our evenings pottering around Mykonos town sipping cocktails, eating traditional souvlaki and popping into various curio shops. By day we basked at Ornos beach and the free (which is unheard of in mykonos) private beach at our Airbnb!

When designing the Lamu collection, I really wanted the pieces to be unisex, so I just loved how my husband styled his Indian ocean short sleeve shirt and Organic cotton T-shirt for island dinners.

Paros:

Paros was a quieter spot, with some incredible dining experiences! We stayed in an Airbnb called peter’s place, which had a private pool and uninterupted views of the sunset. It was in a quiet area (which we loved), and most days were spent at Zazala beach bar. We made dinner reservations for every night, and highly reccommend doing so. Our favourites in order of preferece: 1. Siparos 2. Taverna Glafkos (ask for a table by the sea) 3. Tsachpinis.

We took a day trip to Antiparos, which was a 5 minute drive from our Airbnb and about another 5 on the ferry! Here we spent the day at Fanari beach bar, followed by a potter around the gorgeous town of Antiparos.

Siobhan and I wearing Indian ocean & dhow trousers pre dinner. I wore these on repeat for dinners and flights - the fabric is so soft and comfortable, and the perfect fabric weight for this trip. And as they’re made from cotton (cupro - a byproduct from cotton lint), they’re so breathable too. Not to mention they elasticated waistband and pockets!

My organic cotton T-shirt we launched earlier this year became a staple piece. I popped it on during beach days when I got a bit too much sun, or whilst travelling on the ferry from island to island. I also became rather attached to our towelling bucket hat in our sample sale - the perfect visor for reading.

My tiny tote bag became, probably the ultimate Imara piece for a Greek island holiday. It became intrinsic to every ATV journey of ours. As it is so tight to your body it is perfect for holding your keys, wallet and most importantly - your phone, so you can quickly pull it out to check your Google maps whilst pulled into the side of the road!
